LoVE STORIES, 2022

SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen, Germany

Ten years after the opening of the SCHAUWERK Sindelfingen in June 2010, the museum is showing highlights from the Schaufler Collection that have already been shown in previous exhibitions under the title LOVE STORIES.

Be enchanted by the crowd favorite "Mother as a Ship" - a fascinating hollow body covered with a deep black layer of pigment, designed by the Indian artist Anish Kapoor. With its screen-shaped body, Nam June Paik's “TV Cello” is reminiscent of the beginnings of media art. And Norbert Kricke's spatial sculpture, with its simple, unpretentious line, unfolds an impressive presence in an exhibition space that is only equipped with white and black works. While Russell Young's double portrait of Hollywood star Marylin Monroe exudes a touch of glamor, Yasumasa Morimura cheekily sticks out his tongue at the visitor as Albert Einstein. These and other old friends are looking forward to seeing you again!
